As a tourism marketing consultant, I specialize in seeking out, promoting and evaluating literary ‘places to go’ and ‘things to do’ in locations around the world.

During the course of my travels I’ve visited hundreds of cultural and literary destinations, and attended, blogged about, and interviewed speakers at many literary events, conferences and festivals.

I work with tourism marketers to help them attract literary and cultural tourists.I visit their destinations and blog about the interesting literary things I find. My starting point is an intensive encounter with the city or place, to absorb an impression and gather a literary image library. I then research – everything about the city related to books and authors – write about, and interview people connected with local literary attractions and events, and produce blog posts and podcast episodes.

My writing, podcasts and photographs tell genuine, meaningful stories that communicate and promote memorable experiences in a signature fashion, with feeling and force. Each blog post, article, interview and image conveys something interesting and useful about the destinations and events that I cover.

At Literarytourist.org, you’ll find original and entertaining written, visual and audio content that caters to an audience of book and travel lovers predominantly from the English speaking world.
